COSTCO UPDATE

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

My 15 minutes of Costco fame has almost come to an end.

It’s been a very busy four months. Just so you know, I Dare You to Eat It will still be available at the low-low-every-day-Costco-price-of-only-$9.49  for about one more week.

The remaining book signings will be held at the following locations:

Bountiful Costco      June 4th     3-7

Ogden Costco           June 5th     2-6

Lehi Costco               June 8th    11-3

SLC Costco                June 9th     2-6

(Time to jump if you’re planning a group purchase.)

Thank you to friends, old and new, that dropped by to say hello, buy books, chat about food storage ideas, and even share some hugs. You made each day so much better!

HAZARD! DECOMPRESSION ZONE

Monday, March 9th, 2009

So, I have lived through the very first book signing and what an adventure it was.

I didn’t mind the just sitting there for four hours…which says volumes about my real life, but I felt so sorry for the shoppers passing by! Their guarded glances did little to mask that they were curious about my display of food storage meals, wanted to read and study the big process poster, but DID NOT want to be approached or pressured into buying something. “Seriously, I’m only here for the world’s largest container of crumbled feta so please just let me pass without making eye contact.”

The awkwardness of it all wore on me until eventually I hugged a total stranger, realizing only after the big embrace that she was just trying to introduce me to her husband. I think I may have even squeezed harder, silently shrieking, “WHAT AM I DOING?”

With profound gratitude, a respectable stack of books did sell and I tried hard not to bug, or bug-out. Thank yous to everyone that stopped to chat! I hope you enjoy the book and wish you all the best in designing a food storage that fits your life.
