MISSIONARY GIFT: CHRISTMAS CARD GARLAND
Recently I’ve been inviting/soliciting/begging/pressuring mostly family and a few friends to send me a Christmas card that I could forward to Rosie. One thing I’ve learned from having not one, but two daughters (woohoo), serving missions is that missionaries truly LOVE letters!
The whole thing fits easily in a priority mail flat rate medium box so the shipping won’t be a big deal.
The instructions explain that this is a LOVE-ly Christmas Garland of our support, friendship, and faith. “Hang it in your apartment and remove one card for youself and one for your companion every day during the month of December.”
My family prepared 31 additional cards for Rosie’s companion. Considering the possibility of a December transfer, we wanted her companion, whoever she may be, to be able to participate in the sometimes funny but always merry wishes. Her companion’s card is on the top of each pair while the ”love letters” for Sister Card are clearly marked with her name.
You can see that I’ve quickly stapled the cards and a few felt ornaments to some leftover ribbon. Super easy but a big look.
I hope these simple cards, little messages of love and testimony, mixed in with a few random funnies, remind the girls that we’re thinking of them every single day and wishing them a very Merry Christmas, while they continue to diligently serve the Lord.

Thanks Elizabeth. These would be fun gifts for a ward to prepare for their missionaries. Hope that Rosie and her companion will enjoy it!
