CHEMO CAPS PATTERN & INSTRUCTIONS

If you want to print the pattern please click on each of the images below to view them full size, and then print the page.

Big thanks to my awesome SIL, Michael, and his wonderful computer brain, you no longer need to write in your requests for the chemo caps pattern. I’ve already sent it out all over the United States, and Canada, and this post will make it even that much more accessible. Detailed sewing pictures can be found on the original post here and shots of the finished products can be found here.

You’re welcome Carolyn. I hope the pattern will be helpful!

Getting ready to loose my hair but will be much happier with cute hats. I plan on making some to bring to the chemo center too.
Thank you for generously giving to so many who have to go through this too!

  4. Liesa Says:

Good for you Liz. I’m very sorry to hear of your challenge. Keep fighting it!

I am at it again for another friend.

Would you please send me a copy of the pattern? I printed off the pattern and made one cap but it is too small. I have enlarged the pattern but I am not getting it quite right. My cap is too ‘pointy’. We are going to make 400 chemo caps at a service project coming up in a couple of months. Thanks for a great idea and service!

Oh, a big thank you for this. My dad is in round two of chemo and is loosing his hair again. I’m going to try to use a large t-shirt to make him a black one of these. Looks like they turn out soft and nicely fitted.

  9. Liesa Says:

Kris, you’re so welcome and I’m sorry to hear about your dad’s battle. My nephew has lost his hair 3 times now and of course that’s not the worst of it.
I have to caution you about using T-shirt fabric. My sister and I tried that same trick, at first, but the caps just didn’t have enough stretch. Surprising, I know. We learned, the hard way, that we absolutely had to use a sport type knit, with tons of stretch, in order for these to fit correctly. Just wanted you to know~
My best to you and your dad. Liesa
