Hey Jeni, you’ve touched on the real reason I was so excited about this recipe. For me, and besides having yummy brownies to nosh, I was happy to learn the trick of using beans to replace the oil and eggs in a recipe. It seems like it has to work the same for a homemade brownie recipe. My thought is to use any brownie recipe that would fill a 9 x 13 pan. You should give it a try and report back. Brownies are sort of like a controlled substance in our home. Less is more.

Becky! I’m glad you liked them. For me, besides knowing how to make healthier brownies, I’m glad to have learned the trick of substituting pureed beans for the oil and eggs in a recipe. I’m storing the beans anyway so I might as well know how they can be used in baked goods.
