HERO
My remarkable and beloved mother, Marilyn Romney, passed away peacefully this morning.
This picture, from only a couple of months ago, perfectly captures the light in her eyes and gentle smile. The bravest woman I ever knew chose to face life’s challenges with patience, courage, hope, and love. In every way, she trusted the Savior.
Helping to care for her has been one of the greatest luxuries and privileges of my life. We will miss our sweet Mom but feel so thankful that she has been blessed to return home, to join my dear father after only 7 months of separation, and receive all the blessings we know she will enjoy for eternity.

Please know that we love you, Mike and the family and our prayers are with you during this time of mixed emotions. Thank you the sweet few minutes to meet your mom a couple weeks ago. From all that you have said she really is an elect lady.

Now we know where you get your beauty from. I didn’t know you were a Romney…we must be related somehow?? I am sure she was your HERO and you were hers. May your family be comforted during this time is my hope. What a lucky woman though to only have to wait 7 months to be reunited with your father. I’ll be thinking of you.

Liesa, my thoughts are with your family at this time. What a beautiful picture of your mom. She was so lucky to have such love and attention from you all during her time of need.
It must bring such great peace to know she’s reunited with your Dad.

I just started reading your wonderful blog.
I am so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. The gospel truly brings comfort, but it is still so hard to say goodbye to a loved one, even just for mortality. I’m sure you will miss her terribly, and I pray that you will have peace in your heart and sweet memories to help you feel close to her all the rest of your days until you hug her again.

I’m sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful woman and has left a beautiful legacy through you and your daughters. I’m sure she’ll be so proud of Hailey serving a mission in Independence as she continues her mission in the Spirit world.

Rest in peace, dear lady.
She is beautiful.
Our mothers never really leave us, you know.

You knew she would be leaving you so soon and she did. I’m so happy for her! She deserves it! I wished we could have come tonight and visited with all the girls, maybe another time. I think we should have a little get together with the Cards and the Petersens. We love you, hope you get a quiet moment to reflect on all of this.

I just found your wonderful site. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Your mother has such a sweet expression on her face in the picture. I actually stopped for a minute to look into her eyes before I read the caption. I hope you are comforted by the thought that she is in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
Prayers and blessings, Joyce
