HOLIDAY BOOK ORDERS

I’m pretty sure that all of the ‘pre-orders’ have now been mailed. Please let me know if you have not received your books. If you’ve bought them to give as Christmas presents we still want to make it happen!

And I’m amazed each time I receive comments from people who have already blasted their way through it! I mean, it was meant to be very straight forward and to the point but, HOW DO YOU HAVE TIME TO READ A NEW BOOK RIGHT NOW? That’s impressive.

Hello dear food storage guru friend…I LOVE the book!!! I have looked at several “food storage” books over the years and NONE are at all like yours…a “real” how to use the food storage book. I want to buy a million copies and give them to all my friends so everyone can catch the “how to really use your food storage” fever and live the provident life style!! (I’m just a little excited about the book!).

Anyway, in the beyond myths chapter you talk about the big drums of wheat that are “ancient”…I just happen to have countless boxes of #10 cans in my basement of such wheat. My folks gave Leon and I one or two barrells a few years back and we took them to the cannery and put them into the #10 cans for convience. I use that wheat all the time. I use to mix the new wheat with the old for making bread but then the bread wasn’t turning out so well, then I started using it for tortillas. They don’t need to rise like the bread so it didn’t really matter. I also use it for cookies, pancakes and such, anything that dosen’t need to rise. Then after visiting your web site for the first time I started using it for my wheat berries! It works out great and I’m using the “ancient” stuff and not feeling guilty about throwing it out. wahooo…

Anyway, I love the book and am so happy that you felt prompted to write on such an important subject and not just load it with really yummy recipes that really dont’ have anything to do with using your food storage. I really do wish that everyone could read this little gem and have it bless thier lives also.

Hey Kris! Thank you for this terrific feedback! I’m thrilled with the responses that are coming in as more people are reading the book. So glad the message isn’t a repeat of what you already know. Really, thank you Kris for the great support and enthusiasm. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Just me again…I made the Burritos a go go…absolutely fabulious!! The beans finished cooking before dinner time so instead of making and freezing all of the burritos I made them for dinner and then froze the rest.
Can I just say how easy and yummy they were!! I want my married daughter Chelsea and my dad to try them and then have a fun cooking day so we can make and freeze some for them too.
Thanks Liesa for such yummy good for you food ideas!!
