The Fam
Five good reasons for me to invest in food storage. I like to think of it as the prophet’s insurance program. Money where your mouth is.
When the campers were too little to help, we hired older nieces and nephews to assist us at the cannery. Subcontracting a bit of the work came out of our babysitting fund but it made us that much more efficient in what we wanted to build for these girls.

Mom! I am so proud of you and so glad we are on the front page, even though I have a lazy eye in that picture!
I <3 food storage!

Foo–you don’t have a lazy eye. Stop saying that.
Whenever I feel awkward or shy about this website, I look at that picture of you guys and think, “Oh yea, that’s why I’m doing all this”. Love you, Mom

Liesa, I am so proud of you! Your website looks great, the writing is terrific and the information is so helpful and important!
I am big on food storage and have been trying to build mine up and use it regularly for years. I will take any helpful hints I can get. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Jean! I’m really glad to hear that the website is a help. How about sharing a few of your favorite suggestions for using food storage? I bet you know some great tricks. Do you have some recipes you would be willing to share on the www? My goal is to gather six new recipes that use wheat, and six that use rice, six that use beans, six that use pasta, and six that use instant potatoes. With thirty recipes, a three-month supply, with plenty of variety, can be accomplished in a single shopping trip when you purchase each recipe ingredient in groups of three. And, as I’m sure you know, we’re all supposed to be working towards the goal of a three-month supply of the foods we normally eat, every day. I’ve personally enjoyed many great recipes that came from Kathy so I know that the women in your family are a great resource. Do us all a favor, ask around and fork it over.
